Speaker: Dr. Kai-ping Wang is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist serving as Healthfirst’s AVP Medical Director of Pediatric Behavioral Health. Prior to joining Healthfirst he served a variety of roles including as chief medical officer of a multistate partial program and regional medical director of an eating disorder treatment provider. He is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is co-chair of the AACAP’s Coding and Reimbursement committee and the advisor to the American Medical Association’s Relative Value Scale Utilization Committee (RUC).
Session Summary:
1. Discuss what cannabis is.
2. Cite the increasing use and potency.
3. Define “medical” marijuana.
4. Explain the impact on adolescent neurodevelopment.
